Unfortunately there's going to be a delay in regards to future updates from me. The other day, I had to update the BIOS on my laptop, and when it restarted (it had to do so after the update finished), it only had the option to log in via the password. I couldn't remember what that password was, and I couldn't simply use the pin or my hotmail/outlook account instead as it didn't have either option listed anymore. Unfortunately, I didn't have any password backup set to a USB or CD-ROM, and after some research online (via my smartphone), it turned out that my only course of action was to reset my computer (a factory reset), and re-install windows. I did that and it got to 64% just fine, but then it got stuck in a loop of restarting. :/
So, then I spoke to Microsoft Support, and they gave me the directions on how to make a Windows 10 installation on a USB stick (or a blank DVD-Rom, or both). That part is fairly easy to accomplish, but I need to use a computer that is already on Windows 7, 8.1, or 10, and it has to be one where I could run said download from the computer. I'd attempt to use one of my library's computers (which is what I'm using to type this right now), but I don't want them to think I'm trying to mess around with their computer when I'm not, so I'll have to wait until I get to another computer that I can use.
I do have the important files and whatnot saved, so that won't be too much of a hassle to return to the laptop once I get back into it. I won't replace it right now, as other than this situation, it still works fine.
I'll be back as soon as I can, and will resume returning llamas and posting new things.
See you around.
